I would like to use Intel Iris Pro only. I thought there was a way.

Thanks.

I would like to get used to graphics performance comparable to the base version of the 15" MBP with Intel Iris Pro. I intend to replace this computer for the cheaper model. I thought there was a way.

Thanks.

Use gfxcardstatus to disable the 750M.

You'll have to click on Integrated-only twice, because there's a bug in the app that prevents iGPU-only from being selected on the first try. It'll work on the second try.

Thanks. I might try that.

You can do it with gfxcardstatus, be aware that external displays will not work in Iris only mode. The video output(s) are not wired in any way to the integrated graphics card.

On the contrary, it actually protects the motherboard so that the 750M doesn't have to activate unless the user forces it to.

i see, thx for actually picking up my mistake concerning the mono and mobo mix up
