How do i turn on the chat suggestions?

Ok so i have a 5 and a 5s both with iOS 8. Chat suggestions work with the 5 but not with the 5s.

How do i turn this on?

I'm assuming you are talking about prediction?

hold down the smiley icon on the keyboard and make sure prediction is on.

You know something. I thought long and hard about what to call the feature. I know theres an official name for it. But i was being so last when i made this thread. But i decided to call it chat suggestions because thats more of what they are. Prediction was already a feature since inception.

the feature itself may be called quicktype but the on/off switch is labeled Predictive.
