I bought a new MacBook Air with OS X Lion so my girlfriend can type in Lao. It says on http://www.apple.com/macosx/whats-new/features.html that "New fonts and keyboards add support for Bengali, Kannada, Khmer, Lao, Malayalam, Myanmar, Oriya, Sinhala, Telugu, and Urdu."

However I looked in Language & Text, and although I can find all the other languages as an input source, I can't find Lao. Any ideas? Can anyone else find it on theirs?

You have to look in Text and Language, you can count on that! There is not an iota of doubt in my mind, even though you might laugh now. Later, when you see the tuth you will thank me with watery eyes.

That link takes me to the Whats New in 10.8 Mountain Lion, not 10.7 Lion.

You may have to wait a few weeks for Mountain Lion to be released for that feature.

googling could ahve some solutions though - os x lao
