how do I uninstall a program not in application folder?

I installed something like handy print
it lets you print over wifi
an icon shows up in system preferences
but I can't see anything in the application folder
where do hidden programs and apps install?

Try to right click on it and see if a "remove" option comes up.

If that does not work, look in the folder /Library/PreferencePanes .
