I have an 2nd gen iPod touch
And the firmware is on 2.1.2
I don't want to pay to update...
Is there any to bring it to
IOS 3.1.3 because I want to jailbreak
It using jailbreakme !

Can you give me step by step
Instructions.. Im really dumb at this
Stuff, thank god for you Guys..

So help please :)

http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/

Go to that URL, on the second drop down menu select "iPod touch 2G (4.0/8A293)"
Download it (will take a while) then plug your iPod in, go to iTunes, and hold Shift (Option/Alt on Mac) and click restore with that held down. Select the ipsw file you just downloaded. It should update you to 4.0. Then go to jailbreakme.com on Mobile Safari and jailbreak.
Have fun!

Please correct me if I'm wrong but if you're on that outdated firmware but up to date with iTunes, you're still going to have hell to update to anything other than 4.1. tinyumbrella, shsh, and the sort.
