Okay, finally got a PS3. (Coming from a 360.)

I've got Madden 10, and according to what I've read online, there's an update to put Brett Farve on the Vikings. Problem is that I have no idea how to get an update downloaded onto my PS3.

How do I do this? Thanks.

I don't have the game myself, but usually game updates pop up right after you launch the game - so if its not showing up then the update probably wasn't released yet.

As long as you are connected to the net and logged into PSN, it should autocheck at launch.

Have you setup the Internet connection? Assuming you have.

Game updates launched when starting the game are usually for bug fixes, improving online peformance. If you have launched madden 10 and it does not prompt you to install, or you have already installed and the content is still not there... Then

What you require sounds like it is a DLC content, which one would imagine is available on the PSN store. Try looking on PSN store, downloading the file and then install from games xmb section before you launch the game.

Thanks for the replies.

Looks like this game requires a manual update. Here's how it's done (for future reference, and anyone else wondering about this specifically):

The latest Madden NFL 2010 Roster Update is now available for on XBL and PSN. This update includes the latest high-profile additions of Michael Vick to the Philadelphia Eagles, and Brett Favre to the Minnesota Vikings.

To download your roster update, follow the steps below:

Launch Madden NFL 2010.
From the Main Menu, select Online or Xbox LIVE.
Select Depth Chart.
The roster update should begin downloading automatically.
Press L3 to save the roster for offline play.
