Hi. I rarely used my address book, only for keeping a backup of contacts to sync with my mobile phone.
I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard on my macbook, and need to transfer the old contacts from my external backup to the new, empty, desktop address book.
I tried to open the old application on the external HD but macbook won't allow it??? I need to get my old numbers onto my new blackberry asap!

Did you export the address book from whatever OS you were on?

The App doesn't contain the files. They should be in your Library folder on the previous OS. Can you still boot to the previous OS? If so, then boot it up, start up Address Book, and export it from the File Menu. Otherwise, I think you will have to retype your phone numbers. Hope this helps.
