i have one of the new macbooks, one of the aluminum bodied ones. I want to upload some videos onto it from camcorder, but i cant seem to do it unless i use a firewire cable. of course, the new macbooks dont have an input for a firewire cable. anyone have any suggestions?

Upload to another computer with firewire, then USB or other transfer to your MacBook? That should work, though obviously requires access to another computer.

Yes, unfortunately you are going to need another computer that has firewire and then transfer from that via a USB thumb drive for example.
