How do i Use my 3G with a Pay as You Go SIM...

Hi, a friend of mine bought the iPhone to AT&T and then Canceled the Contract, and he buy a Pay as you go phone , and now he wants to use the iPhone with that SIM Card, he really doesnt care much about the Data features.

But we swap the Sims and the "PAYG" Sim doesnt work on his 3G or my 3GS.

Is it possible to use the iPhone 3G with that SIM!?

It sounds like the GoPhone sim is locked to the phone it was activated in. AT&T started doing this last summer. After six months, the sim can be used in any phone.
