As the title says: How do I use my Time Machine disc as a regular external hard drive again? I want to erase what is on it and just have it work as external storage.

You need to format the drive using the Disk Utility.

Open Finder
Then open Applications
Then open Disk Utility
Chose the correct drive in the left window of Disk Utility
Then Partition the Drive or Erase

Cheers.

all time machine does is make a folder on your external. you should be able to use your external for time machine AND as an external (thats what i do)

i have no idea why you would have to erase anything besides delete the folder that time machine makesand then simply turnoff time machine in sys prefs....
