How do I wipe clean an iPhone4 ??

My factory unlocked iPhone 4S arrived this week. I have sold via Craigslist my older iPhone 4. Are there any hints or suggestions to wipe clean my old phone before it is delivered?

I plugged it into iTunes and did a Restore, but the computer/phone/software immediately began to sync the phone to the old data after the Restore.

Make sure you hit restore phone as new.

Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

Remove the SIM before you erase all content and settings!!! And never put it back in the phone. If you must demo the phone to the buyer, make sure you still pull the SIM and erase all content and settings before handing over the phone.
