I'm trying to wipe the data off my Late 2011 17" MacBook Pro running OS X Lion. However, when I go into Disk Utility and select erase, it wont let me actually erase it. What am I doing wrong here? (I dunno what it is but I'm having all kinds of trouble today lol)

I believe you have to run Disk Utility during the boot up. I believe if you hold Command-R as the computer boots, you can run the utility and erase data there. I am pretty sure that is the command.

Ah! Thank you
