I've been syncing iphone to mac for years with no problem. I purchased MobileMe and all of a sudden I'm getting dups everywhere. I purched the program "Scrubes" and used it to eliminate dups in the Macbook address book.
I had 2600 files in contacts and it reduced them down to around 1600. This was great because I removed my dups in seconds instead of hours of manual work.

Only problem is, some of my contacts are missing also.
My only correct data base of my contacts are on my Iphone. Even though it has over 900 dups on the phone, I have all of them.
In the past when I manually sync, I didn't see where I could select "Make the iPhone" the master.
I don't want to try a sync until I know I will not lose any of my iphone data.
Thanks
Glenn

Seems like you have a bad setting in iTunes. Were you syncing contacts via iTunes prior to using MobileMe?

If so, turn iTunes contact sync off and see if that fixes the issue.

Mobile Me

How do I turn syncing off in itunes?

I go to Preferences, Devices, and have Checked "Prevent iPods, iPhones, from syncing automatically"
I cannot find anything else that says sync on it.
Thanks
Glenn
