How do Keep My "Check Spelling While Typing" Turned On?

I currently using Adobe Lightroom (LR) 2.0 on MacBook Pro with OX Version 10.6.3 and would like to know if there is setting I can make so that "Spelling and Grammar">"Check Spelling While Typing" is turned on all the time? This will keep me from remembering to turn it on every time I open the LR application? I'm 68 and getting forgetful these days! Any help will be great-fully appreciated. Thanks, ADubin
