How do make iphoto my default jpeg viewer?

I dont want to import the photos from my external hard drive to save space. How do i use iphoto as my default viewer without importing or opening iphoto? When i rightclick the JPEG, It gives me the option to always open with the App i choose. Even though i choose Iphoto, It still opens with preview.

Why not use Preview?
Btw, how do you want to use iPhoto as default JPEG viewer if it shan't open?
