Hey folks!

Does anyone have any idea how the lifespan of software licenses works? Essentially, what I'm trying to find out is whether the age of the license is computed from when it is purchased, or from when it is registered? I'm guessing it varies, but I'm also guessing there's a general rule!

Thanks in advance!

Software licenses are permanent, generally, but apply only to that version unless otherwise noted. If there is a lifespan, then it is almost always from the date of purchase. There's no solid standard, however, so you'll have to read your agreement for whatever software you're dealing with.
