Only it is not that simple, somebody posted a thread a few days back about a website, and it was determined that the site was spam, and the owner/admin of that site have created many accounts here defending their site and demanding that their site name not be censored here. They will create a thread with an every day normal title and when you open it they all have the same message. Is there any way to block their IP's?
With any spam that gets posted and indeed any posts that break forum rules in one way or another the best thing to do is to report it to the mods. If an individual is posting the same message again and again, popping links in your report message will help them see the problem.
If a member is banned, then resigning up with new accounts is once again against the rules here. I think in extreme cases our mighty leaders can actually ban IP addresses (rather than just locking accounts) to prevent persistent offenders from coming back to haunt us.
Curses! They're more cunning then I first thought.
Useless if the user has either the common dynamic IP, or the less common multiple IPs, with their internet service.
