It was a surprise to see Thunderbolt 5 in the new Macs. Especially as a Google and an Amazon search proves there's virtually no accessories that support it yet. Great for future-proofing, and well done Apple, but how would you use it next week to improve your computing?
 
I wouldn’t say the question is time-sensitive to that degree.

I think the inclusion of TB5 is just Apple putting in the foundation.

For what? For a new Pro display with increased resolution.

And maybe that product debuts next summer - alongside updates to the Mac Studio and FCP.

I'm hoping for something like this to be updated for blistering fast m2 ssd expansion :). Given they have to change the form factor, it would seem inevitable to update the specs...
