iPod touch How do you change permissions on .plist files?

Quite simply, how do you change permissions on .plist files? I'm running XP. I needed to do this to manually install Summerboard, I did all of the steps correctly other than that-- when I open the manually installed Summerboard, it is all blank. I do have themes downloaded, so it's not that. Thanks.

right click the folder, then click properties. you'll see somewhere in the window that says permissions. change it to 755.

Thank you. When you are saying the folder, do you mean on the folder that you place it in when you search through the iPod with the PuTTY program?
