Just curious how other people charge their iPhones. With Apple’s release of MagSafe Charging on the iPhone 12 models is this something you plan to use? Do you stick with a single method or a combination like 5W at night and Fast during the day? Personally I just use a 5W at night. Rarely do I need to juice up during the day but on those occasions I still just use the 5W.

I can't use anything bigger than the 5 watt charger during the hot summer because the battery gets way too hot. Over 106° F. But I use the 12 watt iPad charger in the non summer months and battery temperature is fine.
I never plug in and leave unattended over might - ever. Instead I charge it in the morning when I get up.
Also almost never charge the battery to 100%.
Still running on the original battery with over 96% battery health and 1661 load cycles (4-1/2 year old phone)

MagSafe is not where it’s at yet. $40 for just a cable. It puts a circle on the back of your cases—assuming it’ll probably do something to the back glass as well. It doesn’t fast charge any device below the 12 series.

I use my ravpower wireless charger overnight and my 18w charger during the day if I need some juice in a hurry.

I use Qi wireless charging at night via a standing Anker dock, but use wired fast charging via USB-C during the day if necessary or anytime I travel (I'm on the road several nights a week.) I plan on moving to Magsafe chargers for at home (replacing the Anker) and maybe on the road but considering the issues with the first Magsafe charger (its leaving marks on both leather and silicone cases in just a single day of use) I'm going to wait it out for now. I'm sure issues will get sorted out and once reliable MagSafe products in the form factors i want are available i'll switch just so wireless charging gets faster for me.

i doubt it will mark the glass, at least something you can't wipe off... but that doesn't matter because most of us use the device in a case and i don't want marks on my case. i'm sure MagSafe will get sorted out in time but i think for most of us it makes sense to wait it out until things seems more developed.

5w wired charging. I generally only need to charge at the end of the day, so I plug it in at night, and wake up to a fully charged phone in the morning. I nave no need for a fast charger at this time.

I ordered a third party case on Amazon, so if I decide to try magsafe, I would have to buy a new case too. Samsung wireless charger next to bed is what i normally use (7.5w). Occasionally a 2A wired charger at work.

Mostly 5W wired overnight with optimized battery health setting on. It’s the best for the battery.

I only fast charge when I’m in a time crunch and need it. I wireless charge occasionally if I’m working at my desk and my battery is lower than I want it to be.
