I have an issue that on and off for a long time, most likely it's the HDCP issue.
I have a MacBook Pro 14" M1 Max 32C 64GB laptop. It was connected to an external display (ASUS ROG PG32UCDM) via USB-C DP-alt mode.

Long story short, when using the external display. Sometimes it can only stream 1080p on Netflix via Safari and 720p on Apple TV+ via TV app.
But if I disconnect the external display, and stream with the Macbook Pro built-in display, both Netflix and Apple TV+ can stream 4k.
And I am 100% sure the PG32UCDM monitor is HDCP 2.3 compliant. The same monitor is also connected to PC and PS5 via HDMI and both of them can stream 4K on Netflix (PC) and Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV+ (PS5)

And this issue only happens randomly, I had this issue with my old LG 32EP950 OLED monitor for a few months, and one day it suddenly back to normal (can stream 4k instead of 1080p and 720p), then I upgraded the monitor to the PG32UCDM since Feb, 2024, it keeps working fine.
But tonight out of nowhere, suddenly both Netflix and Apple TV+ no longer streams at 4k, only 1080p and 720p respectively.

I tried to verfy whether it's my internet, by streaming via PS5 and my PC, and both can stream 4k quality no problem. So I think most likely somehting about HDCP broke in Mac.

Do you guys know how to check the Mac current HDCP status? I tried to google but couldn't find any way to check it.
