I've had my mini a little over 2 months. It's traveled across the pond, through Europe, and now in New York. It's been to the gym countless times, through the diry subways, etc...

As a result, the white scroll-wheel is incredibly dirty, covered with blackish finger marks and the sort.

I've tried cleaning it, and it just won't come out! How do other mini owners out there clean it??

DO NOT ATTEMPT WITHOUT ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY (OR RISK OF FAILURE)

(just thought I'd add a disclaimer) On iBooks, a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works wonders because of the pourous plastic. However, the Click Wheel of the 4g iPod and iPod Mini are a whole different animal. You could try it, but use with caution , as water is requred.

On my Mini I just use a damp cloth, seems to work OK. Although mine hasn't been extremely dirty, mainly just finger smudges.

ive always used a damp cloth on my iPod mini and Powerbook, works great for me, simple and easy too
