I just tried it on a 1.83Ghz (borrowed it from a friend) to try it with my 23" ACD before I open up my brand new 2.4Ghz mb.. but then this macbook just wont pick up the acd but usb works fine.

How do you connect an external monitor onto a macbook?

Go to system preferences on your dock. Click on displays. Then maybe detect displays or preferences.
Cool got it thanks! I just restarted the macbook I guess it hasnt restarted in ages or something and it worked! Wow it runs it fast!
