How do you delete game app data?

so I have this game installed and I wanted to erase all my progress and restart it fresh... but deleting the app ( from the device or iTunes) doesn't remove the history. When I redownload the app, it brings me back to the same level...


Please tell me this is possible!

Usually deleting the game is supposed to delete the data.

now I figured it out.. the data wasnt being stored on my device, it's a game that requires an internet connection so I guess they have the data..

In that case, sometimes there is an option to reset the game within the app, if not contact the developer to see whether they can reset it for you.
