How do you disable the mic on a MacBook Pro?

Not quite. input level would be at minimum, so would make audio almost dead, but not disabled.
How "disabled" do you need?
Tape over the mic. Doesn't disable, but make any audio unintelligible.
Open the case, and disconnect the mic internally.

Less dramatic - plug in an external mic, then choose the external in the pref pane, bypassing the internal mic.

I don't see where to disable it, but you can mute it with the Audio MIDI Setup app.

Mute is good as disabled.....also personally don't use any apps with it other then the phone calls....I wouldn't be so paranoid with it if it is what i think it is.
