I have an external drive connected to an iMac and the drive contains a Time Machine backup of another Mac. I'm trying to find a Light Room catalog on the external drive so I can manually drag it to the iMac. When I press Command + F to search the drive, it is only set to search the iMac.

1. How do you I change the filters in the find window so that it only searches the external drive for the file I'm looking for, or maybe the entire Lightroom folder?

Thanks!

The easiest way is to go to the Finder, navigate to the external hard drive, hit Command+F, and there will be a toolbar at the top to filter results, one of which is your iMac hard drive and the other is your external.

Select the external and happy searching.

That was what I would have expected, though for some reason that option does not display in the window for me...

Is there another way?

Thanks.
