basically, i want to play games, but there is a big performance loss if i enable antialiasing on my ibook.

however, the performance loss can be reduced if multisampling is used instead of supersampling.

is there any way? i downloaded ATI's drivers for my new ibook rad.9550.mob and i can't find the option to use multisampling on my ibook. is it possible? how?

As far as I know, there is no way to do that on a Mac. First of all, I would not have bought an iBook to play games. An iBook is a low end consumer laptop and isn't made for games. I'm sure you're doing other things with it, but its something you should have considered before buying the iBook. Macs in general always have lower frame rates than PCs when playing games. Hopefully the Intel switch will change that, but currently Macs aren't up to par with PCs in the gaming sector.
