iPhone 6(S)/Plus How do you export and merge iPhone contacts?

I have an old iPhone backup from a couple years back, and I want to take out my contacts from that backup to merge it with my current backup with a different set of contacts.

Theres an app called "My Contacts Backup" that works great! Ive worked at ATT and verizon and its saved my customers a couple times especially when their contacts were linked to a previous employers work email!

Thanks I just exported it using the app.
Can the contacts be actually merged with a different set of contacts as well?

It should merge just fine if you go to settings>contacts>default account and make sure the account you want the contacts to save is selected and then import the contacts it should save them to that account

just email the file to yourself and when you go to open the attachment it will ask if u want to import all the contacts
