How do you extend lockscreen time...?

I appreciate any help.

I have a great lock screen and while looking it over the screen will go blank (lock?) after about 8 seconds or so. I turned auto lock off, but that is not the problem.

can i extend that time?

There is a package in cydia called something like "delay lock screen dim" or "lock screen dim delay". I've seen it, but have never used it.
