I am trying to SSH into a server, and it works, but I cannot get X to run remotely on my Mac. I need to figure out the display name, and the IP address doesn't seem to be working. I've tried this on Windows and Linux machines, and it works, but I just can't seem to figure out my display name. Help please?

P.S. I have a MacBook Pro 2.4ghz, 2008 Penryn editon, running Leopard v. 10.5.4 (If that makes any difference)

I'm not sure what you mean by display name but what you are probably looking for is the hostname of the computer?

Depending on the OS,
in Terminal.app, at a bash prompt, or at a command prompt type

Code:
hostname
