I know, I know, before anyone else says it - the App Store.

But with 700,000+ apps available how do you find what you want? Do you read reviews? If so, where? Do you get recommendations from friends? Do you do keyword searches? If so, how far down the results list are you willing to look? Do you pick from the top 25 lists or what's in new&noteworthy? Do you choose at random?

Usually I do keyword searches looking for something very specific. Sometimes I find it, often times not - I have a growing list of niche apps I plan to make myself.

I live in an area where there are few wifi hotspots so I don't bother with apps that need internet access to work. I also ignore apps that let me post my data to social media sites but won't let me export it using file sharing. I can be kind of picky about details.

So, all that being said, how do you find apps for your iPod touch?
