I work for a small local company that has a base of about 30,000 readers a month. We provide free magazines that are supported by ads on the pages that contain articles. Does anyone know how I would go about getting this magazine to be able to be downloaded in the iBook store or iTunes or whatever route I need to go? We want to keep the content free, but would like readers with iPads the option to have a digital version. So I guess my questions are,

1. How do I get the magazine published digitally on a monthly basis so that a reader could download it from iBooks, and

2. Is it possible to do this so that it does not cost my company money and it will not charge the downloader a fee?

Currently the iBooks store doesn't support this. If you were charging I'd suggest Zinio as a distribution system/app. But for free I don't know of any real route except roll your own app, and distribute it from there.

You may have to redefine your "magazine."
