I have an iPad2 and I'm not planning to let go of it anytime soon, but I was wondering what happens if I one day need to upgrade to one with bigger storage space or to a future iPad3. How does all the 'stuff' in the various apps transfer to another iPad?

Easy with Apple's new iCloud service.

With iCloud, all your information is backed up to Apple's servers. When you upgrade, on the new device, you enter your Apple ID and it will sync all your information across.

For more information see here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/
