It's a new thing in the calendar app on iOS4, it's a calendar just for the birthdays of the people in your address book.

(I'm going to have a look as soon as my phone finishes it's backup)

Btw: it's 'rid' not 'read'.

Thanks and excuse my english

It's easy to switch it off. Click on the Calendars button at the top left, scroll down to the bottom and deselect "Birthday" from Other.

I know this but "deselecting" it does not get rid of it in the calendar list...

So, still no one found a way to delete that iOS4 default birthday calendar? Again I kow I can uncheck the calendar but this is nt what I want...I want to delete it and do not see that birthday calendar under that Other section.
