so i was looking in a few forums on another site when i saw this dock

can sum1 tell me how to do this?

the dock in that picture takes some steps but this is how to do it for free.

1. you must first make the dock invisible (make sure you back up those files).

2. next you need a program called geektool.

3. using geektool, make an empty geeklet (basically an empty box with no commands in it).

4. next just mess around with the opacity to get the look you want.

i have something similar and thats how i did it.

edit: forgot to mention how to change the icons. you can do this one of two ways.

first of all that icon set is called the kobhens. The gill sans icon set looks like its just a copy of the kobhes. but either one should work.

the easiest alternative to candy bar is is to use LiteIcon. its FREE!!

other than that you can do what i do and go into the package contents of each individual application you want to change.

its tedious and takes a while but it is 100% effective. sometimes liteicon fails to actually change the icon. but try it first and if it doenst work let me know and i will give you the instructions.

I'm having trouble doing this as well. I did all the steps to make my dock invisible but I still have this little section of it that shows a reflection of what ever is up. Anyone know of how to fix this?

Edit: Got it fixed. I used Miragedock to get rid of the dock background and then just used an empty geektool script like ViciousShadow21 said. Final desktop attached below. I added some other stuff too
