By following the instructions for whatever distro I want to create a USB stick for...

Some distros make it easier than others. Ubuntu has an option built right into the installer.

Ubuntu is very easy, just burn the disc image to a CD start from the live CD and go to Ubuntu Live USB creator select your memory stick and click next and your done. Very easy to do with the latest distro of Ubuntu

i have been using the disk utility thru the terminal to do it but i want something that has a GUI with more options, i use it to put my gentoo live CD on it
