How do you have the iPhone 4 show up in Device Manager with COM port?

I am trying to get a COM port reading of an iPhone 4 through Windows XP or Vista or 7 but no luck.

Any ideas to get the iPhone 4 to show up under Ports section of Device Manager (modem USB drivers?)?
