How do you highlight pages of interest? (When reading)

When reading in iBooks, how do I mark a page to come back to it if I want to read it later? I know there is some red icon you can enable, but the only way to get to it at another time is to go through the book page-by-page. Is there a way I can only see my marked pages?

Would another app be better for that?

I believe iBooks allows you to jump right to your bookmarks. You do not need to go back page by page.
