How do you know that your phone is unlocked by ATT?

I called to get the approval for ATT unlocking my iPhone 4. They confirmed all of the information with my IMEI number and sent me instructions. I restored as a new phone however I did not see/read anything while the process was happening that is was unlocked?

You can check this site below to see if the IMEI is unlocked or just buy a prepaid SIM (tmobile for $10) and put it in.
