yesterday, I stumbled across Apple's 2021 pride watch face on the website. It says "Open this page on your iPhone to download the Watch Face." https://www.apple.com/watch/

So I visited it (the German page first) on my iPhone 11, and it says requires iOS 14.4 (which I had) and watchOS7.3 (which I had). But when opening the link "Add Apple Watch Face" I just get a text file with improper encoding

After visiting the English page, it says requires iOS 14.6 (okay, I'll update) and watchOS 7.5. So I unpaired my S3, upgraded to 7.4.1. And then upgraded again to 7.5. But when opening the link "Add Apple Watch Face" I still get a text file with improper encoding.

I've tried restarting my phone, closing (in multitasking) Safari and clicking the link again. I've downloaded the .watchface to iCloud, but I still cannot add it to my phone/watch.

Is the new watch face restricted to the larger screen watches? (SE and up?) I haven't seen any indication that the face is only restricted to newer watches.

Is the Watch Face you are referencing to the "Pride Woven" one? For me it just appeared in the Apple Watch app on the iPhone under "Face Gallery". I'm on a larger screen watch, though.

I haven't seen the name of the face yet, but Pride Woven does sound right. It's not in my Watch app. I thought it had to be downloaded from the website ... why would they let it be "downloaded" if it was already included?

It is "Pride Woven" and it appears on your watch, if you add a new face on the + side at the very end of your watchfaces, on the watch iteself. It also should be on your iPhone in the "Pride" section.

it doesn't appear on my S3 when adding a new face, nor on the Apple Watch app, which is why I thought it had to be downloaded from Apple's site

... checking my old S3 in about 30 minutes. Just updating.
To everyone: Tapping on the screen is useless, no movement this year. Turn the crown instead...

EDIT - it took ages to update it - SS version with 16GB no unpairing needed - but no trace of 2021 Pride. It should appear on the iPhone as first Pride watchface. Not there. On the watch it is not present as well.

I have S3 watch and just purchased the new 2021 woven pride band. I’ve no updated watch face either. Not happy that apple doesn’t not say anywhere on there apple store that you need S4 to download compatible watch face. Apple get this fixed

Given how Apple has been treating the S3, I don’t think it’ll be getting those faces, unfortunately.

I really hope they add them in a future update, but I’m not thinking they will.
