How do you make Word docs download to your Google Docs

...Instead of downloading as Word files to your computer I ask because it's better to have it on Google docs so you never forget to save it and you can access it from any computer.

Either create them in Google Docs to begin with or upload them.

If you're referring to files that you might find links to online, there's probably a Safari/Firefox/Chrome plugin that would let you send them straight to Google Docs and skip the download, but I don't know for sure. I use Google Docs once a month at most, so I've never bothered to look.
