Do you import all the pictures and videos directly to the EHD? Right now I have two iPhotos libraries, one on the internal, the other in external harddrive. I would like to keep all my pictures on the internal so that it's easier to access and because I am under the impression that pictures don't take that much space and movies are the ones that should be stored outside the computer. So I have several ways of doing this:
Is there a way to automatically import all my pictures and movies online? That way I don't have to lose it and don't have to carry around the EHD to access it. I was thinking uploading to VIMEO in private mode all my videos. If anyone knows any pictures site that you can upload plenty of pictures, tell me.
Also I want to clear up more space so that I can carry more videos without having to use EHD, because carrying that is a hassle, since it is a 2 GB one and I have to plug it in on the wall every time I have to use it.
I noticed sometime back while at the Genius Bar that I have a lot of backups of iPhones taking up space and I would like to delete all of that, except for the original version of iBooks because for some reason the current version is extremely slow. How do I do that?
- Import the movies first to Final Cut Pro directed to EHD, then delete all the movies on the iPhone individually (cumbersome)
- Import the movies and photos to the iPhoto library in the internal hard drive and then move the movies to Final Cut PRo (EHD) while deleting the movies only from the IHD. (most convenient but doesn't work because it says 'there is an error in moving the image file', likely because there is too little space left in the IHD.
- Import everything to the EHD Library, including my pictures already in the IHD and continue to use the EHD Library in adding new pictures (but this is cumbersome because I have to keep plugging in the EHD to access all my pictures)
