I just got a new MacBook Pro and would like to mirror my current G5 desktop hard drive, so that I can keep all my applications like Photoshop and whatnot. Or do I have to mirror it at all? I'd actually prefer to partition the hard drive on my new laptop, which would make mirroring impossible. (as far as I understand.)
Can I just transfer my programs. If so, how? I no longer have key codes.

What happened to the key codes?

I used Migration Assistant today to transfer some paid apps over and it worked flawlessly. Although you can't pick and choose which apps carry over, which could be a downside.
