How do you move/copy a picture into a MacRumors thread?

I know this is a novice question, but I greatly appreciate anyone's help. I am trying to sell my MacBook and someone requested pictures. As simple as it may be, I can't figure out how to simply move an image/picture from iPhoto into the thread. I've looked but can't find an explanation on how to do this. Thank you for any help you can offer.

I use QuickShareIt to give me a link, then press the pic of a mountain above where I write the post and paste the link
