I have a Debian file, extension .deb. It appears to be some sort of compression and Wikipedia describes it thusly:

Debian packages are standard Unix ar archives that include two gzipped, bzipped or lzmaed tar archives: one that holds the control information and another that contains the data.

Standard and a few non-standard unarchivers don't recognize the format. Any suggestions?
