So Cal
I am more than a little frustrated, a few updates ago, you could search for something and when found you could see at the bottom where that file was located... that went away... now I am searching for some files and they will only show in list mode but I can not open them and there is no info on where they are on my Mac?

There is a little circle on the left side but it is not clickable, nothing is clickable? WTF?

Searching in any other mode (icons, cover flow) does not work at all.

The path bar is grey and not able to be activated... :(

here is a screen shot of what I get when I search a file... all grey! I have tested this with files right on my desktop and I get the same result.

Can you make a screenshot of the entire Finder window?
You can mask out personal information via Preview.

Do not use the "All My Files" Sidebar shortcut or "limiter" on the "Search: This Mac - All My Files" selection.
Go to the Desktop or any other actual folder and try again.

Open Finder then go to the View menu and select "Show Path Bar" and that will display the file path you want at the bottom of the Finder window.

Same result :(

Have you tried trashing your finder preferences file?

It can be found at ~/Library/Preferences and trash com.apple.finder.plist and com.apple.sidebarlists.plist . It may be a corrupt list file. Also do the standard stuff. Verify your HD, make sure your RAM is seated correctly, etc.
