Hi, just want to know which way is better for my MBP :)

1. the default one-partition-disk ( which from Apple's setting )

2. two partitions, one for system and applications, second for user home folder
(which I did for my MacBook pro)

3. more than three partitions

Anyone has any idea which partition method will bring the best performance as well as better convince (such as reinstall system, backup, etc...) ?

#2 is best in case of issue so you can then wipe the system partition and reinstall OS X without losing your data (clean is better than upgrade install). I just have it as one partition, never had a reason to partition it thus I wouldn't even bother about it. You should have a backup anyway
