Hello guys, I'm looking for the "British English" pronunciation of "Munich", how do you say it?

I know there's a couple of Brits here, please help lol. I've asked some American people say that it's [mew-nick], that's what I also say, but a lot of people here with me (UK Eng) say it's [mew-nihgh] (where the 'ch' is like the Dutch 'g')...

However I say 'ich' in German like 'eehghh' not 'eek', kinda contradicting.

But whatever... in German it's still M
ünchen :)

UK: Mew (as in 'you') and Nick.

(EDIT: Utterly beaten to it by tersono).

Brits won't add the 'ch' ending as in ich, as Munich is an English translation of München, as you say :)

Slightly off-topic here, but in Italy they call it Monaco, which must get rather confusing if you're trying to catch a train to Monte Carlo :)
