How do you rearrange doc items on MacBook

Weird I can't seem to rearrange the doc items on my new MacBook.

Nevermind in OSX 10.10.3 you need to click on the function key and drag the item into the new spot.

Or force click correct?

I'm able to just click and drag, no keys and no force click required.
