A friend of mine has very cleverly spilt beer over his iBook and killed it good and proper. I have whipped out the hard drive and i'm transferring all of his data across to my PowerBook but I am conscious of the fact that he has lots of emails in Mail.app that he wants to keep. Is it just a case of copying across the Mail and Mail Downloads folders from the User Library and then dumping them onto his new MacBook when he gets it? They are from POP accounts but he removes the mails from the server so they can't just be downloaded again.

Cool. I thought so but I didn't want to go ahead and format the drive after getting all of the data off without checking with a grown up first :)
